Monday

Hello again.
Yesterday I had a 9am lecture. I was more tired than I should have been considering I didn't go to bed that late. I perked up a bit after it, and read Atonement. At half 12 I went to bar lime cafe and got myself a panino with a coke, while carrying on with Atonement.
My next lecture was 3 whole hours long. It started promisingly. There was only 4 people in the class, so the lecturer noticed the addition of me. He spoke English and was welcoming. Then he started the lecture. I could not understand a word! He has a low voice and a suicidal (for my understanding) tendancy to slur words. I hardly understood anything beyond the fact that he was talking about people doing digs in Iraq in the 20s and 30s. I'll talk to him and sort it out another time.
After that I went home and vegged, watched OC! Nothing else has been going on
update soon x

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

So these three days have been lumped together for boringness.
Friday: Had lecture, was normal. Went home
Saturday: went shopping and brought food as shops are shut on Sunday
Sunday: watched a bunch of OC and read a load of Atonement (which was also done the other two days)
On Sunday evening I met up with Nicola (Aussie) as shes leaving tomorrow (Tuesday). I went to the pub we were meeting at, but I got there early. Early enough to be sleazed at by some ugly weirdo guy. I actually had to go inside to get away from him. He'd left after a while and then she arrived with 3 other people, her Welsh friend and an Austrailian couple. We got drinks, food and sat down. There was much merriment as the Aussie couple didn't know that the Welsh language exsisted. Me and him spoke alot, he reminded me of home. At that point Lucie arrived, I talked to her alot, anixous that she shouldn't get left out of the conversation by not speaking English. I don't know why she worries as she speaks it well, but I think Aussie accents are hard for her. I spoke French to her anyway. We messed about with photos, and chat and everything basically. After that we all went and got an ice cream. House (dubbed in Italian of course) was on the TV. Me and Lucie then left and went to bed

Thursday

I woke up early feeling really tired. Wed night was not the best of ideas, it would have been worse if I had stayed though. I got up and trundled off to my lecture. I was so sleepy, but I tried to concentrate. I think I got enough of it down not to worry too much. After that I went home, got food ect. It was luckily hardly raining.
Second lecture passed slightly more awake than before. I felt I missed lots of stuff from the powerpoint, but she did say to listen to her as all the words on the powerpoint were in the books. Both lectures were still interesting.
During the lecture I got a text from Lydia inviting me for pizza. It would be 5 after the lecture, but she couldn't do then. I arranged to go at 7.45. They eat late.
I went home, but I wasn't in a great mood as I was tired. I watched a little OC.
When the time to leave arrived I was really hungry and not thinking properly. I went outside and saw that it had started chucking it down. This was the last straw on my hungry and tired nerves and I phoned up Lydia to cancel. I immediately made myself an aparagus burger, and them some pasta. I felt so much better, then I wound down for the day, read some atonement and went to sleep.

Wednesday!

Right. Hello there.
Yesterday was started late as I only had afternoon lessons and had early starts the two days before. I slept in and generally mooched about the flat doing nothing much.
At half past 1 I shut down my computer and started organising myself, checked the time of the lecture and realised that I had an extra hour. I used this hour productively to read atonement, hehe.
Lecture time came, I went. Its the same room as a intro lecture we had at the start of the year. It was pretty cool, I was writing frantically as there was loads of stuff on the powerpoint, and listening as well. When I stopped writing and listened I mostly knew what it was about. It was a pretty basic outline of anthropology. It really pushed my brain and it was good. I came out exhausted but really happy about how well it had gone and how well I understood it all. I asked for the powerpoints but she said she couldn't give them out, but that it was all in the books for the course.
I went home, ate etc.
Later on at half 9 I went to meet Lucie. We were going out to a bar to meet the German girl Steffi. After which Lucie was going to Hobby One and I was going to get sleep before my early lecture today. We met up outside a bar, it looked empty but the first room was weird, and the bar was behind. Steffi was with some other girls. We all got a spritz, which is normal aperativo drink in Italy. It tasted a bit of wine, but it wasn't too bad. We chatted about various things, and looked through a mini whats on in Bologna magazine. I had another drink, and more chat.
At that point we decided to change venues, but the next bar was so full that it was a bit pointless so we went to Hobby One early. I was a bit drunk so I wanted food. In the event there was no food so I stayed and chatted for half an hour or so before I left. I got back at midnight, which was a bit late really

Tuesday

Tuesday. Another early start. In the morning it wasn't raining, but it looked cloudy. Normal trip to uni. Lecture was ok. In the break I manically scribbled down what another girl had written. That will help for later. After the lecture I forced myself to go to the arts faculty and find the last module. I went through everything and it all was either irrelevant or clashing with the modules that I've already chosen.
I sat down for a while in a frustrated state and then looked again. During this time a guy came up to me and offered me a leaflet. I took it to read it. It was the South African lottery so I put it in the bin. He asked me to get it, and I was so surprised because I assumed it was unimportant. I told him it was there, at the top of the bin. It was his, and I wasn't going to get it. He then picked it up, swore at me a few times, and walked off. I was confused by it, and wondered if I was in the wrong or not. I can see why people would think I was in the wrong for not getting it for him, but it was his, and by holding something in my hand I am not obliged to own it. I probably wouldn't have put it in the bin if I had realised it was important. He walked past me another time and swore at me again. I could also add that the leaflet thing was not in any way dirty, it was resting on paper right at the top of the bin. I don't know, I havn't worked out who was in the wrong yet. It annoyed me him swearing at me though, it stopped me apologising afterwards.
I looked again through the modules, still a bit rattled, but I found a module that I thought had clashed but didn't. There are 2 lectures, of 3 hours each, which is a bit of a trial. Starts next week on Monday. I was happy that I had found a module and went home.
I didn't have any more lectures that day so I watched a DVD. It was called ho voglia di te, its the sequel to the other Italian film I like. It was a good film, next time i'll watch it with Italian subtitles rather than English. I did washing, various other things. Went to bed

Monday

Yesterday was an awesome day, other than the early start. I still hate half past 7, particularly when it still feels like half past 6 due to Uk and Italian time being so near. Anyway...
Monday was the start of lectures again so I had a 9am. This meant getting up early and walking half an hour through the rain (no umbrella and not covered walkways). I had a little trouble finding the place, but eventually I got there. Under the "every lesson starts 15 mins after the time given" rule I was early. I spotted a girl who knows Frederica (she was in my classes before Christmas) and another girl me and Lydia met when trying to sort out lectures. I sat with them. The professor seems nice, hes a bald guy. The lecture was mostly just basic chronology and themes, kinda expected of a introductory lecture. When we had finished it was raining even harder, so I stayed in the block for a while, reading the newspaper. Fabio (from before Christmas) saw me and we had a quick chat. I said I was waiting for the rain to stop and he said you'll be waiting a while then, he was right. I went to check when I next have an exam (March, urgh) and left in the rain. At this point I was going to go the arts factulty and find another module to do, but I didn't.
Instead I went to the make up shop and got myself lip liner. Not my normal make up but I found if you don't want red lipstick to bleed its kinda nessercary. I also popped into ricordi, which was a mistake as I came out with a Franz Ferdinand album and a DVD thats the sequel to the Italian film i've mentioned before. I went home, dumped stuff and had lunch.
After lunch I had to go and pay rent, so I got myself together and walked (in the rain again) to my landlady's house. It wasn't too hard to find, and wasn't far either. It was on a slightly less well kept road than Via San Vitale. I went up and she was waiting. We sat in her small sort of sitting room and chatted a bit. I then paid her and then her cat found us. Its a sweet black and white cat that I think is blind in one eye. Apparantly she (he?) always follows Valeria. I left and went home.
Not much happened then, ate food etc.
At 7 (I know, early) I set off to see Defiance at the local cinema. Mondays it has English films, which means its pittifully lacking in choice, but at least theres some! I arrived really early, and waited until 5 mins before the film to see if Lydia and Christina would come. I'd invited them earlier in the day but they didn't reply. In the event I saw an Irish guy i'd see in my department and they didn't turn up.
The film was pretty good. I was in a bit of a lonely mood, so guns and nazis probably wasn't what I would have chosen to see. Despite that it was still pretty good. The actors all at certain points spoke in other languages, which was kinda cool, but the accents were bad when talking English. I'm not gunna get it on DVD, but I did like it.
Went to bed pretty pronto, had an early morning again

Sunday

Right. Another day.
Got woken up really early (well, 7ish) by Lydia waking up and going back. I had to get up and lock the door behind her. I was so so tired and found it really hard to get back to sleep afterwards. Eventually I woke up at 12 and decided to get up properly.
Had a shower, got something to eat and went online for a while. The Turkish girls suddenly left without properly saying goodbye. I was sad. Cengis then helped me put the matress back. I got washing done, thought about Monday and organised myself.
In the evening the new Spainish people arrived. They were given the full riot act (ok, so its only a list of rules, but its so pointless) by Valeria, which was OK as I was a bit tired and grumpy and didn't feel like socialising. I went to bed early as I could.
Fun day *rolls eyes* oh well

Saturday

Hello again :D

Yesterday :D all my troubles seemed so faaaar away.... *ahem*
Woke up late, had a think about the organisation of the day. Text Lydia, we agreed that all was confirmed, she was going to arrive late at about 8. I spent the day not doing much, tidying my room. I thought about shopping, but then remembered that talking to mum would be a good idea. I spent a while on skype. Jenny was there and I said hi, I spoke to mum for a while about various things, and dad. Izzy was out, which I was a bit sad about, but we can chat another time.
After that I rushed off to the supermarket and got food. As soon as I did that I got the potatoes going and shoved them in the oven. They cooked quite fast. Then Lydia rang to say her and Christina were on their way. I cut up pepper. Then I had to go and get them, despite being stressed because the potatoes were cooking quickly and nothing else had been put on yet. I then put the pepper in with the potatoes to get cooking. Lydia started the chicken. All actually went well, and it was a good meal. We chatted about various things, including people and languages. Drinks were had.
Christina had to go at that point as she was staying in a hostel for the night, and I lent her a book to read.
Cengis (yes, like Jengis, but Turkish not Mongolian) and Ihrem got the mattress for me, which was sweet because I was going to to it myself. Me and Lydia then watched St Trinians. She really liked it. She got a few phone calls during it, but it provided useful toilet breaks. After that I got changed, we did make up and chatted about this make up shop in Bologna. Walking to the club didn't take that long.
We arrived at the club and decided to wait for Lucie who wasn't there yet. Steffi (the name of the German girl that was there yesterday) arrived with a brunch of people and we said hi. Her hair was so nice. Then Lucie arrived and we all went in. We got a drink and sat down for a while. I had a quick chat with Steffi, then she went to get a drink and disappeared for the rest of the night. Lucie and Lydia were chatting and I joined in as well as I could over the noise. Then we went off to dance. The music was pretty good. I found myself coveting peoples clothes and espcially peoples shoes. I so wish I could walk in heels.
After a while Marco, Lucie's Italian friend joined us. Hes such a fool, its funny. After a while we all got another drink and had a short chat and took a few photos. Then we went back to dancing and stuff. Towards the end of the night Marco and Lydia were chatting alot and then there were loads of Spainish songs and a few Italian songs that everyone there seemed to know. One was called "sara perché ti amo" or it will be because I love you. I wasn't as tired at the end as I normally am, and it was much later when we left. At half 3, we left as a 4 (Lydia, me, Lucie and Marco) and we walked the streets. Marco tried to get us to let them to back to mine for more drinks, but Lucie had a bus to catch and work to do. I was also concious that everyone would be alseep in the flat and that i'm not allowed parties, due to my obsessive and neurotic landlady. My god she annoys me sometimes. Anyway.. After that we got back and went to sleep pretty quickly.
