Another short blog. I should combine them into two again.
Yesterday... Not much to tell. I got up late, eventually met Lucie at twenty to three. The ticket shop was closed. Boo. Everything else, weirdly, was also closed. We went to one of the few open cafes and had a drink. It was still closed when we went back so then we went home. I stayed and chilled for a while. I read some of twilight, its this book thats massively popular. Its very teen but pretty good. I've got a bit addicted and am a bit in love with the hero, but i'm a complete sucker for fictional perfect men.
Later I went out to 2be. At the start I got a drink but some arsehole accidentally knocked it out of my hand! It went all over the floor and the glass shattered. I gave him evil looks, and Adri and Lucie spoke to him for me. In the end, after many evil looks, he paid for my drink. Only fair as it had cost me €5! Stupid man. Anyway after that the night went well. We danced on the podium, it was great! I suddenly crashed at half 2 and had to go home but all in all it wasn't a bad night

Friday
Right.. Friday I got up late and went to CILTA. While I was there, there were two people's presentations. One was on ice cream, the other on Emilia Romagana in general. They were both OK, the ice cream one was better. After that me and Irena went to the uni restaurant to eat, and we bumped into two of the Italians she'd interviewed on the way back. Then I went home.
Not alot else happened yesterday. I was exhasuted after the lesson.

Wednesday and Thursday
Right, lets get on with this:
Wednesday wasn't the most interesting day. I got up late at Lydia's and then got myself home. I didn't have any lectures. I spent the day being tired, until the evening and my normal outting to Hobby One. It was really fun. When we arrived the layout had changed a bit (poker night was sharing with us, in one section) but it was fun. I'd invited Stephen and he found us. So it was me, Lucie, Adrienne and Stephen dancing most of the night. Was great!! Stephen knew what song was coming up next, which was weird. It was a good night all in all. Plus I didn't massively overheat like last time.
Thursday was a good day. I was tired in the morning, and didn't take in much of the lecture. She was pretty much reading off the handouts she'd given us so I don't think it matters that much. Italian uni is not like English uni, Italians arn't expected to attend lectures. They do exams based on the books people say they've read if you want them too. Its a bit silly, you can kind of see why a British degree is worth more even if it is thousands and thousands of pounds more expensive. Aaaaanyway.. so that was fine. Went back home for a while, chatted online. Stephen (American friend) said that his uni group were having a thanksgiving meal in a restaurant. He'd been told to bring friends, and it was free. I said that I should go to my class instead. It turned out when I went to the lecture that noone turned up so I met up with him and we went to my first ever thanksgiving!! it was a really nice restaurant. We had pasta starter, with turkey main course and it was really really tasty! Everyone was so sweet and very funny. We had awesome conversations! Including one about the differences between British and American English. They have some insane stories about Brown. I really wanna visit, but it'll be so expensive. I'll see how viable it is! Its so cool having friends from all over the world! I really enjoyed my thanksigiving, even if I did feel a bit of a fraud.

Monday and Tuesday
Hey, had a good two days, so i've been busy
Monday: I got up late but met Lydia for lunch as we'd planned before our lecture. We had a quick catch up, some food then went to the place. We turned up 5 minutes late and noone was there. We waited a while and noone turned up. Eventually this other girl turned up, but it turns out there was no lecture. We're going back next week. After that Lydia spoke about a place where she knows to get suitcases that are hand luggage size, so we went off to go thereb while we were on the way we bumped into Luca. He's a guy that Lydia knows (I had only met him before in a club). He had just won €20 in the lottery so he took us to a cafe on him. Lydia had really thick (more like moose) hot chocolate, I had herbal tea (great becuase it was SO SO cold) and they had cakes. We stayed for ages and chatted untl i had to go to my lecture. Lecture was fine.
Tuesday: Got up late, went to my CILTA lesson. Mimma (the teacher) had lost her voice so we watched "Il Postino" instead. It was sweet, but it would take too long to explain the story here. It was fairly easy to understand with italian subtitles. Then I had lunch with Christina and Lydia in the uni restaurant, which was nice. Its nice to talk english, I hadn't kept in touch with them enough I think. Then we all went to the suitcase stand and I brought myself a suitcase. Then I went home and then went off to do shopping and stuff. At this point I was exhausted so I rested. At one point I was talking to one of my friends online. He said that his hair clippers had broken and hence he had half his hair cut. He'd worked on it with sciccors and could I help! I recommended him a shop, and he went out. In the end he actually came to very near me, so I breifly met up with him. The hunt for hair clippers was in vain :(. Later on I met Lydia, Christina, Eloisa, Julio (spanish) and Julio (italian) for Pizza. The restaurant was nice, and it didn't cost too much! Then we went back to Lydia's house. We played Uno, then we played a wink murder kind of game. It didn't work that well, as there were so many nationalities! Even though the game was explained in English and in Italian, it was still confusing for people. It didn't really work. I decided to stay over, as it was so cold, and far from mine.

Yesterday the most interesting thing I did was watch a film on youtube. I also did another load of washing, so at least I have lots of clean clothes.

Friday and Saturday
Friday was rushed. I woke up at about 25 past ten, and I had CILTA at 11.30! It takes about 40 mins to get there! So I rushed, got dressed and stuff. I managed to get there on time! Everyone else was late, most due to the fact that they'd been up late last night like me!! ha ha. It was an OK lesson, but seemingly with less people than there were before. I didn't feel that we learnt much, but it was ok. We played a pair up question and answers game.
After the lesson I went with the girls i'm doing the presentation with to the uni restaurant. We ate and discussed stuff. It probably wasn't the best idea while eating, but we agreed on topics, and decided to have a draft by Tuesday. Its something I have to work on today. Then they got coffee, and I hung around a bit. They then went off on their bikes home (bus strike again) and I walked back. Not much else happened that day.
Saturday was similarly dull. I got a new housemate, Turkish guy, in the place of the Japanese guy. He speaks more English than Italian. I also did a bunch of washing (which was good, although I have two more loads!!) and I went shopping. I got a drainer for pasta, more food, various boring things. I text Hannah to see if she wanted to watch DVDs but she didn't reply. Its ok though.

Thursday
Hello!
I'm going to write a bit about Thursday. I woke up late from the night before, and stayed at home until about 4. Then I went out. I went to the shop and got new eyeliner, a mirror for make up, face clenser stuff and new slippers. The old ones had started to stink, party due to being old party due to me putting my feet in them wet from the shower. I hope these new ones don't go the same way. They were however only 1.50 euros so I don't mind. Then I went to H and M, taking photos of graffiti along the way. I went all over H and M, tried a bunch of stuff on but in the end didn't like anything other than the boots. Got the boots and came home.
Came home, ate and stayed at home and got bored haha. Didn't get a reply from Lydia about where we were going that night. Eventually we met up, it was Hannah, Christina and Lydia. They all had eyeliner moustaches! The party they had been at was a gender swap one apparantly. We caught up and walked to Corto Maltese. I got a telling off from Lydia about my pill, shes right though I really do need to sort it out.
We got there and about half my CILTA class (who are Spainish, so it kinda fits) were there!! Julio was playing the music and it was all really good! We got drinks, I chatted to Hannah, and the night started. There were loads of sleazy guys, which annoyed me but everyone else took it in their stride. Hannah and Christina danced with some guys but me and Lydia took a hands off approach. It was all in all a good night. I left early at 2 and went to bed.

Tuesday and Wednesday
Tuesday:
was composed of normal lectures, and my Italian lesson. Both went fine, but the Etruscan lecture was taken for the second time by this really young female lecturer who speaks really quick. In the Italian lesson we started working on our presentations for the end of the course. I also got a reply about about my exams, from the e-mail I sent to the department erasmus person here
Wednesday: Lectures as normal. In the evening I went to Hobby one. It was ok. Normal food, slightly better than normal music and photos. Lucie and Adrienne were obsessing over this barman, but I didn't think he was that great looking. I was wearing a long sleeved top and got way too over heated, which kinda spoilt the end of the night. It wasn't too bad though.

Sunday and Monday
These two are sharing the same blog as Sunday I did pretty much nothing. I did a bit of Italian work, but mostly chilled out. I had got up late anyway.
Monday as well, I didn't do that much. I had a lecture in the morning, then I had lunch. I then went to H and M during the day and looked at the boots I have decided to buy. Had my next two lectures. Did a bunch of nessercay but boring organisation type stuff.

Friday and Saturday
Friday was a strike day at uni, so there was no CILTA. I got up late. Nothing much happened
Saturday was pretty much the same. I went out in the evening with Lucie, Adrienne and this Dutch girl. It was empty when we arrived, we got drinks and took pictures. Later on we danced. I left early, as it was closing at 4 and I think 2 is late enough. It was ok.
I made another blog recently. You can probably find it on my profile page. It hasn't got anything on it yet, but it might soon

Tuesday: So I went to my first lecture, it was ok. Before the lecture we chatted about stuff, about parts of America and all that. Went home. After that I missed the next lecture because I had a doctors appointment, which it turned out to be closed! I was most pissed off. There wasn't much point going to the rest of it, as the lecture was halfway through anyway.
At this point I went to get my hair cut. First I was too scared to go in, but in the end I did go in. I spoke to this guy, and we discussed my hair. After that I had to wait like an hour before anything else happened. They only have 2 people cutting hair which makes queues long. Evenutally it got done. I paid and left, but spent the whole evening stressing about it and hating it.
Last lecture I went to but it was cancelled, I think the whole module has stopped. Had a night in.
Wednesday: Wednesday was a bit dull, but I was more happy with my hair. I missed my first lecture in order to get an appointment. Its so annoying how opening times are always the same as my lectures!! Last one was the same as last time, so it was cancelled too. At least I had an appointment. I also met up with Lydia and Christina and we chatted and discussed my hair. In the evening I went to Hobby One as normal. However today it rained non stop, so I had to take a coat and umbrella! First time i'd had to pay for the cloakroom. We actually had a really cool night, there was a whole bunch of good music towards the end (are you gunna be my girl, tubthumping, whats my age again, welcome to paradise). When we left we realised that Lucie's umbrella had been left there! She decided to go and catch her bus but was annoyed. She in the event missed her bus and decided to go back to Hobby One and look for her umbrella. In the end she was accompanied by one of the guys who had been with us, and I went home.
Thursday: Was a bit of a nightmare really! Again it rained all day! Right pain. Again my doctor's appointment was at the same time as my lecture, so I went there instead. It was a bit stressful. Firstly she asked for the pill box, as she couldn't find the name on her system. I had to go home and see if I had it, which I didn't. I went back, she phoned the pharmacy with no sucess, and then her husband. He apparantly is a doctor for people with Turners, which is random, and he suggested another pill. I got it and thanked her. I'm still unsure though, its differnt, and i seached it online. It was discontinued (I don't know why) in the Uk about a year ago. Mum is e-mailing my consultant, hopefully all will be well.
In the evening I went to the cinema with the Belgians, Lucie and Benjamin. We saw the new bond movie Quantum of Solace! It seemed really good to me, incredible action sequences. I didn't understand the plot, the Italian was too complex for me. I enjoyed it all the same. After that they went out to a club, but I went home.

Monday!
Right, so this blogging thing is actually going ok, for the last few days anyway. So...
Monday morning I didn't go to my first lecture as the only time the doctors was open was then! I arrived, got buzzed in and went up. It was easy enough, I spoke to this woman and then wrote my name in the appointments book. After that I went to ricordi and got the DVD of trainspotting. At this point I went home as it was lunchtime and I was starving.
After lunch I didn't do much. I went to H and M, got myself a dress, trousers and a blue t-shirt. They're all really nice. This used up the time when I would have had the lecture that had been cancelled. I went to my last lecture, only to find that that had been cancelled too! I went home, ate and went to bed.

Sunday
So I missed out a bunch of stuff on Saturday. My landlady Valeria came round (as she had said she would. For a cooking lesson). It turned out not to be a practical lesson, but just giving us recipies. We went through how to make: Ragu, stuffed tomatoes, tuna sauce, bread pizza, bean sauce and this thing called frigoni (no idea how its meant to turn out like). They all look tasty enough! There were a few funny moments, like when she was trying to say beans, but said bones. I got very confused and there was much merryment when I explained!
Sunday, I had a good lie in after my night out. Had a decent size lunch and stuff. After that I chilled for a bit and texted Lydia to see if she wanted to do something later. She text back to watch a DVD at 5. In the event I left early and went around town. I found trainspotting in the shop! I've been looking for it everywhere and apparantly they're not making the DVD of it anymore. I'm going to buy it today. I also found the sequal to "tre metri sopra il cielo", which i'm also going to buy. After that I went to H and M, lots of nice clothes there too! In a way i'm happy that I didn't have money on me, as it made me think about what I wanted.
After that I met up with Lydia, she got an ice cream then we walked to hers. We sat down and watched hairspray. She really liked it. After that we went to get pizza at this pizza place. Lydia's order was messed up, but we still both had pizza. I enjoyed mine alot. After we'd finished them Christina turned up, and we chatted about Slovenia, which is where she'd been all weekend. After that they chatted, I read magazines, then we all watched x factor on youtube! I didn't find it that interesting, but oh well. After all that it was 1am, so I went home.

Saturday
I like Saturdays, they're relaxing. Gives me a chance to chill out after a week of constant Italian. It also helps when I need to catch up on sleep, or on work that I havn't done!
With this in mind yesterday I woke up late and didn't do much during the day. For some reason I always feel grateful for a relaxing day but get bored at about 4pm, which is when everythings closing. Its annoying, but me and Lucie seem to have started a tradition of DVDs on a saturday night. We watched Harry Potter 4, it was quite good!
After that we went out to see one of Lucie's Italian friends, called Marco. In the event, we found the club, found him but he mostly ignored us. The club was packed, and after two hours they started playing the same songs again. At the beginning it was actually not bad, they had new music in there along with what seems to be the Italian club music staples. That didn't last though, oh well. I really don't know why I bother going clubbing here, its never a really fun night. That said, if you're bored and feel like socialising then it becomes suddenly an atractive prospect!
Mas and Victor (my housemates, Japanese and Brazillian respectively) had another degusatizioni last night. I think that's their tradition.
I've been in touch a bit with Olivia, thats been cool. Also yesterday I finished putting all the photos that I had on facebook! I suddendly have tons of comments lol.

Friday
So...
Yesterday I woke up fairly refreshed after 2 nights with little sleep. The morning was mostly spent trying to finish the CILTA homework that I should have done! haha
I left 3/4 of an hour to get there, and it turned out that I did need most of that to get there in time.
The lesson went OK. We learnt about the time, and listened to this Italian singer who I actually really liked the song of. I'm actually feeling like i'm getting somewhere, which is good. I'm enjoying feeling more confident. After that I went to the uni cafe to eat. Its so convenient and cheap!
After that I went home. The rest of the day nothing much happened. I put up a load of photos on facebook! like 4/5 albums worth. I hadn't done it in ages. The new download thing is so so much easier.
Not much else to add. Update tomorrow xx

Sunday to Thursday!
OMG I'm really not good enough at this.
Sunday is fairly easy as I did pretty much nothing all day. I tidied and stuff. That was the day I saw the car accident. It was ok, just a dented car, but the noise was loud and a very Italian style arguement ensued. I also got a really good ice cream after that.
Monday: Got excited about the election, normal lectures. Nothing much ever happens on Monday, too many lectures.
Tuesday: We went to St Giovanni in Monte for my first lecture. It was hard to hear her, but the cross was interesting enough. After that I had CILTA. Lesson went fine, we listened to a song, did more grammar. Differnet people turned up, as everything got a bit shook up due to people having lecture clashes. It rained and I was annoyed. My trousers got really soaked and there were puddles everywhere. I was going to stay up all night for the election but didn't in the end. Went to be at half 11pm.
Wednesday: Woke up (on purpose) at 4am ish! Went straight online (very groggy). Saw that Obama was doing really well and was pleased. Quite alot of states had already been called at that point. McCain then suddenly got loads more, as a bunch of red states all came in at the same time. Obama got a few more. Then I realised that he was on 207 votes, he only needs 270 and California (worth 55) hadn't even been counted. I was so so excited! It was so so close! Then the news started coming though! It was all over! He'd won! I was so so happy. I stayed up a bit longer, just to see the main states coming in (noone cares about Alaska, and it was already over 270). Went back to bed until 10am. So worth it though, watching history being made.
When I woke up for the real day, I looked at the final offical votes! Obama had got double the number of electoral votes! amazing! Then I watched the two speeches, McCains first. I was surprised how humble and accepting it was. He was so gracious in defeat, and it was good to see him control the republican boos. Obama's speech was truely amazing. I love hearing him talk at the worst of times, but that speech really proved how worthy he is of the office hes just been given. It was cool that he realised and spoke to the thousands of people all over the world who were listening to him too. It was just great. Also, without wanting to trivialse how much I admire him, hes also really hot hehe. On my way to lectures later in the day all the newspapers were still from before the result.
In the evening I went out clubbing to Hobby One. It was the UK night, but with no UK food really (fairly normal, theres sposed to be food for each country but mosty its just the cheap stuff they normally have), no UK "spectacle" and hardly any UK music. They had coldplay and the prodigy on right at the start but no. It was not very English, but it was an OK night out. Francesco and this band of Erasmus played songs. Mostly fairly badly, but it was fun to sing along. I spoke to Francesco about it later on but I got all confused and I think he thought I was taking the piss out of him. Oh dear, all in the past now. Lydia and Christina had hair hair cuts and dyes! Lydia's is darker and shorter and nice, Christina now has a fringe! I didn't recognise her!
At the end of the night this drunk Irish guy started talking about my boobs and my bra size. He then later denied being drunk AND that he started the convo about my bra, just lol. Then Francesco came up the stairs and tryed to get us all to dance more. We had to slip away.
Thursday: Today, i've just had normal lectures (went shopping at lunchtime, just normal food). Brought Le Monde for french style Obama news, and the free Italian newspaper with a big picture on the front. I wanted the guardian to see if it had anything different from the website, but the only good english newspaper they had was the Indie, and that was from before the results (had about Obamas aunt being illegal thing).
This evening I went to cafe Zamboni with Lucie, Adrienne, Julia, Christina and Lydia. We had drinks and food and stuff. At one point Lucie started crying and went away, but it got sorted out. She was just stressed and stuff. I had tagliatelli al ragu, but the pasta had horrid dry bits in. Really not good enough, although it was eatable. It was cheapish, in its favour. Stayed there until half 9, then came back here and wrote this all out!! Its so long.
Hope you enjoyed it even so xx

Wednesday until Saturday
Humm havn't updated enough really.
Wednesday:
Not much to say about Wednesday. Dull day. It annoys me how little I remember. I need to update more.
Thursday:
Went out to Kinky with Lucie. It wasn't actually that good, we sat on the seats for a while before we got up. The music was awful as normal and there was a really weird girl at one point.
Friday:
I only had my CILTA lesson on Friday. Woke up fairly late but left the house early to see if I could find the doctor place. I got there, found it and got directed to another place. I went there and by the time I found it it was really too late to sort it out so I thought that I would go back. Lesson was basically grammar, and this song. It seems to go half the lesson on vocab and stuff and the other half on grammar. After the lesson I went to the Uni cafe and got food! 2 o'clock is long enough and I was starving. On the way up Via Zamboni I got the lesson book we're working through. Then I went back to the doctor place and explained what I wanted. I showed her my EHIC card and she showed me a list of doctors. I found two on Via San Felice. Later on... It was halloween and I was sposed to be going out, but I was in a bad mood and didn't feel like it. I texted Lucie and stayed at home.
Saturday:
Didn't do much. Mostly clearing and tidying my room. It looks so much better, for some reason the dust and stuff had multipled dramatically since I last did it. I also got sorted of all the newpapers on the floor and stuff like that. At 8 I went to get Lucie. On the way there there were two English guys chatting next to me so I joined in their conversation. I think they were a little startled at first! One guy was doing his erasmus in Siena, and the other had done his last year in Bologna and had decided to come back and visit. It was only a short convo, but they were sweet. I met Lucie at the Neptune fountain, and we walked back. She was a bit nervous about not knowing the way back! I assured her that she would be ok. We watched Harry Potter 3, It was quite good. By the end it was half 10, she left and I went to bed soonish after.
