Sunday to Thursday!

OMG I'm really not good enough at this.
Sunday is fairly easy as I did pretty much nothing all day. I tidied and stuff. That was the day I saw the car accident. It was ok, just a dented car, but the noise was loud and a very Italian style arguement ensued. I also got a really good ice cream after that.

Monday: Got excited about the election, normal lectures. Nothing much ever happens on Monday, too many lectures.

Tuesday: We went to St Giovanni in Monte for my first lecture. It was hard to hear her, but the cross was interesting enough. After that I had CILTA. Lesson went fine, we listened to a song, did more grammar. Differnet people turned up, as everything got a bit shook up due to people having lecture clashes. It rained and I was annoyed. My trousers got really soaked and there were puddles everywhere. I was going to stay up all night for the election but didn't in the end. Went to be at half 11pm.

Wednesday: Woke up (on purpose) at 4am ish! Went straight online (very groggy). Saw that Obama was doing really well and was pleased. Quite alot of states had already been called at that point. McCain then suddenly got loads more, as a bunch of red states all came in at the same time. Obama got a few more. Then I realised that he was on 207 votes, he only needs 270 and California (worth 55) hadn't even been counted. I was so so excited! It was so so close! Then the news started coming though! It was all over! He'd won! I was so so happy. I stayed up a bit longer, just to see the main states coming in (noone cares about Alaska, and it was already over 270). Went back to bed until 10am. So worth it though, watching history being made.

When I woke up for the real day, I looked at the final offical votes! Obama had got double the number of electoral votes! amazing! Then I watched the two speeches, McCains first. I was surprised how humble and accepting it was. He was so gracious in defeat, and it was good to see him control the republican boos. Obama's speech was truely amazing. I love hearing him talk at the worst of times, but that speech really proved how worthy he is of the office hes just been given. It was cool that he realised and spoke to the thousands of people all over the world who were listening to him too. It was just great. Also, without wanting to trivialse how much I admire him, hes also really hot hehe. On my way to lectures later in the day all the newspapers were still from before the result.
In the evening I went out clubbing to Hobby One. It was the UK night, but with no UK food really (fairly normal, theres sposed to be food for each country but mosty its just the cheap stuff they normally have), no UK "spectacle" and hardly any UK music. They had coldplay and the prodigy on right at the start but no. It was not very English, but it was an OK night out. Francesco and this band of Erasmus played songs. Mostly fairly badly, but it was fun to sing along. I spoke to Francesco about it later on but I got all confused and I think he thought I was taking the piss out of him. Oh dear, all in the past now. Lydia and Christina had hair hair cuts and dyes! Lydia's is darker and shorter and nice, Christina now has a fringe! I didn't recognise her!
At the end of the night this drunk Irish guy started talking about my boobs and my bra size. He then later denied being drunk AND that he started the convo about my bra, just lol. Then Francesco came up the stairs and tryed to get us all to dance more. We had to slip away.

Thursday: Today, i've just had normal lectures (went shopping at lunchtime, just normal food). Brought Le Monde for french style Obama news, and the free Italian newspaper with a big picture on the front. I wanted the guardian to see if it had anything different from the website, but the only good english newspaper they had was the Indie, and that was from before the results (had about Obamas aunt being illegal thing).
This evening I went to cafe Zamboni with Lucie, Adrienne, Julia, Christina and Lydia. We had drinks and food and stuff. At one point Lucie started crying and went away, but it got sorted out. She was just stressed and stuff. I had tagliatelli al ragu, but the pasta had horrid dry bits in. Really not good enough, although it was eatable. It was cheapish, in its favour. Stayed there until half 9, then came back here and wrote this all out!! Its so long.
Hope you enjoyed it even so xx
